Banana Oatmeal Waffles


How can you not have a good morning when you have this beauty staring up at you? Not only does it look great, it's also yummy, healthy, and filling!

Ingredients:

1 banana (the riper the better for extra flavour!)
2 cups water
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 and 1/2 cup whole wheat flour (or all-purpose)
1/2 cup rolled oats
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg or 1 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:

In a blender, gently blend the banana and water until smooth. Add the remaining ingredients and continue to blend until well combined. Spoon the batter into a well oiled, hot waffle iron. Repeat until the batter is gone. Makes 4-8 waffles, depending on the size of your waffle iron.


Top with fresh fruit, maple syrup or agave, and a sprinkle of cinnamon! Have a great morning :)
